Based on Virginia's revised guidelines for swimming pools under Phase 3, we are implementing the following changes to our operations effective this Friday:
Baby Pool opens Friday, July 3! The baby pool will now be open to one family at a time, up to 6 people maximum (from same household). Use the signup link on our homepage to reserve the baby pool for a 50-min. time slot. Cost is $5 per family. Note, the play area adjacent to the baby pool remains closed.
Family “Free Swim” Lanes beginning July 10! Starting Friday, July 10, lanes 1 and 2 will be designated Family Free Swim Lanes. Up to 8 members of the same household may use a lane for free swim activities. Use the signup link on our homepage to reserve a family lane for a 50-min. time slot. Cost is $5/swimmer. Lanes 3-6 will remain lap swimming only, 3 swimmers per lane. Diving well remains available for up to 3 swimmers.
Face masks still required in some areas. Masks must be worn in and out of the pool's entrance/check-in gate and when using the restrooms. We strongly suggest wearing a mask at all times, except when swimming.
Physical distancing remains 10’ separation. In and out of the pool, all members must continue to maintain a physical distance of 10’ from people not from the same household.

It is up to all of us to protect our collective health and safety. Thank you for continuing to adhere to all physical distancing guidelines when at the pool!
2020 Adjusted Membership Dues
For the 2020 season, the following dues structure is in place for ALL member households, regardless of membership category. No distinction is made between new or returning members. All households will be required to sign the Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Liability when they join the pool and each time they swim at the pool.
ALL families who have already paid for a full membership will still receive a $10 credit towards next year’s dues. We greatly appreciate your support of the pool despite the uncertainty surrounding this season! See Scenario C for how the balance on your account will be handled.
The 2020 season will not count against a member’s eligibility for Silver Barracuda status.
Lap Swimming Membership
"Punch Pass" like option, $100/household, $5 lap swim fee will be deducted from the account each time a household member swims. May be renewed up to a maximum cap of $300 for an unlimited number of lap swims for the season. Members with a balance at season end may:
a) apply balance to next year's dues
b) donate balance to the pool
c) request a refund check
Example A: Family A pays $100 for lap swimming and uses all 20 swims ($5/swim). Family A then pays another $100 for lap swimming and uses 15 swims. Family A will have a balance of $25 on their account at the end of the summer and may choose to apply it to next year's dues, donate it to the pool, or receive a refund check.
Example B: Family B pays $300 upfront for lap swimming. Family B uses all 60 lap swims ($5/swim) before the season ends. Family B can continue to lap swim for the rest of the season without any additional dues.
Example C: Family C paid for a full family membership ($465) by June 2. Family C will be able to lap swim all summer and will receive a $10 credit towards next year's dues. The remaining $165 on their account (or more, if Family C lap swims less than 60 times) will be refunded, unless they elect to donate or roll the full amount over to next year.
If a full season membership isn't what you are looking for, then consider a punch pass. We have a few options to choose from.
Brandywine is a community-run pool and we can always use help. Volunteers can save BIG through rebates on their membership dues.
